What We Do
This website provides users with opportunities to expand their role in the community through any means possible. We feature non-profit organizations, give access to volunteer opportunities, provide ongoing petitions, and give information on representatives of the area all for users to become more involved in the world around them.
Who is it for?
The information provided on this website is catered towards citizens of San Jose, California. While the SpareChange page includes non-profit organizations from around the globe and the Petitions page includes petitions involving national issues, the other pages only pertain to citizens of San Jose. However, what action that any user chooses to take can have a lasting affect on others not only in San Jose, but around the world.
How it Works
The SpareChange Page has a compilation of non-profits organized in categories and each logo can be pressed to visit the different sites to make a donation. At the SpareTime page, users can enter a zipcode and keyword to find relevant volunteer opportunities as well as directions and other information. The Petitions page includes current petitions where the user is directed to where they can sign for ones that they choose. The Representatives page lays out the district of San Jose and the representatives' contact information.
What You Can Do
Use this website as a gateway into becoming more involved in the community and more aware of the world around you. Find spare money and time in your day to contribute to different causes and decide to support movements and representatives. Do your own research to find more out about issues around the world and what you can do to help.
